Lake Houston
If you love water sports, Lake Houston will draw you in like a magnet. Fishing tournaments are held frequently, especially in the summer.  You can also enjoy boating, water skiing, and jet skiing. At the northern end of the lake, Lake Houston Park also has facilities for camping and hiking.*

 

Lake Livingston
There's something for everyone at Lake Livingston.  Bring a picnic and enjoy a day of boating on the 84,800-acre reservoir. Or take your fishing pole along and try your luck at catching crappie, perch, catfish, bass or sunfish. If camping and hiking are more to your liking, you'll find guided nature hikes, mountain biking and plenty of space to experience the great outdoors. There's even a day-use equestrian park with horses to ride at the Lake Livingston stables.*

 

Alexander Duessen Park
Located only a few miles away from Eagle Springs on the southern tip of Lake Houston, Alexander Duessen Park is a 309 acre park, managed by Harris County Precint One. The park allows for daily use of the 2.3 miles of hiking and jogging trails, boat ramps and piers, covered picnic pavillions, playgrounds, duck ponds and wildlife exhibits. Whether you are picnicing for the day, fishing or boating or hosting a birthday party - there is much fun to be had at Alezander Duessen Park.*

 

Jesse H. Jones Park and Nature Center
Jesse H. Jones Park & Nature Center, a Harris County Precinct 4 facility, features over 300 acres of pristine primary and secondary deciduous southern forest with a variety of micro habitats including swamps, sloughs, and natural white sand beaches along Spring Creek. The park’s many amenities and special features include: boardwalk and trails, canoe launch, cypress bog, nature center, outdoor classroom, playgrounds and picnic areas.*
