From the $280,000s
M/I Homes's Plan 25504 model in Preston Village showcases a collection of new designs created especially for the Houston market, with prices ranging from the $280,000s to $320,000s for plans from 2,720 to 3,733 square feet. Like all M/I homes, they include a 30-year transferable structural warranty.
A foyer with a wood-beamed ceiling welcomes visitors to this model home. The foyer terminates in a rotunda, providing a dramatic design feature as well as an efficient way to direct traffic to several living areas.
The family room overlooks a covered patio spacious enough to accommodate an outdoor sectional sofa, along with a dining table and other accessories. A second covered patio is off the breakfast room.
Other highlights include rich dark stained wood kitchen cabinets with granite countertops and mirrored tile backsplashes, a theme repeated in the butler's pantry and fireplace surround.
This home has four bedrooms, all downstairs, including a guest suite with a private bath and a coffee bar. The study includes an island desk and a detailed wood-paneled ceiling. A stairway with antique silver balusters leads upstairs, where a game room and media room await.
Located near the 15-acre Eagle Springs Athletic Club and Sports Complex, Preston Village also offers new homes from the $260,000s by Lennar.
From the $470,000s
M/I Homes' new Plan 26513 model in Beringer Place at Lake Magnolia overlooks a pair of scenic lakes connected by an arched brick footbridge. This wooded neighborhood is the setting for M/I's largest collection of new designs in Eagle Springs, with prices ranging from the $470,000s to $500,000s for plans from 3,300 to 3,979 square feet.
Brick walls and ceilings accented by rustic timber beams highlight several rooms in this new model, including the study, dining room, family room and master bedroom. A grand spiral staircase with wrought iron balusters, tile risers and an intricately turned newel post highlights the two-story foyer.
The kitchen has granite countertops and dark wood stained Benedettini custom cabinets, a detail echoed in the family room's built-in entertainment center. The master suite and a second bedroom are located downstairs, with two more bedrooms upstairs.
The gameroom has a raised stage that is decorated with musical equipment in this model. A media room is also upstairs.
Located within walking distance of Eagle Springs' newest school, Atascocita Springs Elementary, Beringer Place at Lake Magnolia offers M/I homes on 80- and 90-foot-wide homesites.
The new M/I Homes models are among eight new models opening this spring in Eagle Springs, a 1,360-acre master-planned community with 150 acres of recreational amenities such as parks, lakes, The Island Club and miles of greenbelt trails.
Overall, Eagle Springs offers new homes from the $120,000s to $500,000s, with additional builders including Ashton Woods, Beazer, Chesmar, David Weekley, D.R. Horton, Highland, Lennar, Ryland and Village Builders.
